Dates slide into the same café and the same scrolling. Party of Two turns them back into adventures. The two of you found a party with a coat of arms of your own, take quests from the tavern board out into the real world, and the book plays game master: it deals each of you a secret objective, sends wandering encounters, rolls the die of fate and writes everything into an illuminated chronicle that grows for years.

Each of you answers five questions alone: your hour, your road, your beast, your sign, gold or silver. Where you agree the shield is one; where you don't, it splits and shows you both. It grows a border, a helm, a crown and a laurel as the party rises.
Three new notices every Monday, copper, silver and gold: a patrol of benches, a feast cooked blind, a sunrise pilgrimage. 88 quests in eight schools, from the Road to Tenderness, and quests of your own.
Before you set out, each of you takes the phone alone and reads a secret: make them laugh three times, find out what they wanted to be at seven. On the way home, each guesses the other's from three.
A d20 settles where to eat; a natural 20 brings a boon, a 1 a mishap. Wandering encounters wait on the road when you haven't looked for a while. A campfire deals questions for both of you.
Lay the phone face down and a wax seal holds for as long as you chose. Pick it up early and the seal cracks, and the chronicle remembers.
Serial stories of seven chapters each: the lamplighter whose colours ran away, a map that redraws itself, a stone and a star. Every chapter is a date, and the next one is posted a few days later.
Every quest becomes a chapter with illuminated initials: your two lines, the secrets in the margins, the encounters, the seal, a trophy you brought back. Each one raises a tower on an island that belongs to your party alone.
The raven brings a small errand every day. Sealed letters wait for the next quest. Dragons are the things you both keep putting off: give them hit points and wear them down together.

No. One phone, passed between you: the secrets and the letters are read by one of you while the other looks away.
Never. Nothing asks you to score or describe each other. The game counts what you did together: quests, minutes of silence, secrets kept, dragons slain.
Twenty levels are about a year of weekly dates, with three serial tales, 88 quests that come back once you've done them all, and your own quests on top.
The chronicle, the arms and the trophies, on the phone only: no account, no ads, no internet permission at all. You can save a copy of the chronicle to a file.
