Each avatar's ring empties as a contact comes due: green, then amber, then coral. The list is sorted into Time to reach out, Coming up and All good.
Call, or write via SMS, Telegram or WhatsApp. After a call from the app, Ties asks “Did you reach them?”, so logging takes one tap.
The first message is the hardest. Every card has a gentle opener, plus notes worth remembering for next time.
Upcoming birthdays sit on top of the list, and a notification comes on the day.

On Xiaomi (MIUI / HyperOS), Huawei and some other phones, allow Autostart for Ties and set battery usage to No restrictions, or reminders may not arrive. Settings → Reminders not arriving? opens the right screen.

No. Picking a contact grants access to that one entry only, not your whole address book. Ties never reads the call log. You can also add people by hand.
