What's inside

Everything Soft Landing does.

Scan it

Google's code scanner reads barcodes, QR codes and DataMatrix codes; the app itself needs no camera permission. Unknown packs are looked up in Open Food Facts and then stay on the phone.

Photograph the label

The nutrition table is read on the phone and checked against itself: protein, fat and carbs have to add up to the calories. Not found anywhere? Make the food yourself in a few taps.

One line for a meal

«buckwheat 200, 2 eggs, cappuccino» becomes three entries with one button. «Same as yesterday», your usual breakfast at the top, the last amount remembered, a «+» on every row and undo.

Dishes from the pot

Put in what goes into the pot, scan packs straight into it, weigh the finished pot once, and every serving after that is exact. Plates and pots are weighed once and taken off the scales. Share a dish as a QR code.

A route of villages

31 villages in the Meadowland, the Lakeland and the Foothills up to Cloud Harbour. Each soft landing moves you on, and every village gives a simple recipe that goes into your dishes in one tap.

Fairs and fog

Two days a month can be fairs: birthdays and holidays count for nothing and break no run. A day with nothing written down is fog, not a failure.

Hangar and logbook

Twelve balloon envelopes open with soft landings. The logbook keeps a month of coloured landings, a handwritten note from the aeronaut for every day, the week in numbers and your weight line.

An honest norm

Mifflin–St Jeor with your activity and pace, never below a safe floor, with a protein target. A doctor's or coach's number replaces it. The meadow is a corridor, so eating too little counts as a miss too.

How a day ends

Landing	When	What happens
Soft	you ate your norm, give or take	the next village, its stamp and recipe
Early	too much	a night in a farmer's field; no step back
Past the meadow	too little	the wind carries you on; eat a proper meal tomorrow
Fog	nothing written down	an empty page in the logbook
Fair	a birthday or a holiday, two a month	nothing is counted and the run keeps

Good to know

Questions people ask.

What if a product isn't in the base?

Photograph the label and the numbers fill in, or type them from the pack. It takes under a minute, and the food stays yours, with its barcode, for next time.

Does a bad day ruin the streak?

No. A day over the norm just leaves the balloon in a field; you never lose villages. Birthdays can be fairs, two days a month.

Is it safe to eat less and less?

The app won't reward it: the meadow is a corridor, and a day far below the norm counts as drifting past. The norm never goes below a safe floor.
