What's inside

Everything Apothecary does.

Four places

The cool cellar is the fridge, the pantry is the cupboard, the ice chest is the freezer and the cabinet behind the counter is the medicine box. Each shows what runs out first.

The real deadline

The package date or the day it was opened plus the days it keeps open, whichever is first. The ice chest stops the old clock and starts a longer one.

A guide of 170 products

Type «kef…» and kefir comes with its shelf, its date and three days once open. Medicines, drops and vitamins are in it too. Leftovers get a number for the lid.

The cauldron and 40 recipes

Tick what went into the meal and see the potion before you brew. Dairy and berries make the Potion of Morning Clarity; five essences make the Grand Elixir.

Six regulars

The herbalist, the miller, a retired knight, the clockmaker, a bard and the ferrywoman come each morning for what is about to be lost. The note says which bottles will do.

Coins and the guild

Coins buy candles, herbs, a cat, an owl, a stained-glass window and a copper cauldron. Ranks from Apprentice to Guildmaster depend on how little was poured out.

Calendar and ledger

Which day each thing runs out, what was brewed and poured out, the money lost, eight weeks in bars and what goes to waste most. A night audit once a week.

The medicine box

The guild's kit of eight things, warnings a month ahead, drops and syrups that keep weeks once opened, vitamin courses, and expired medicines sent to a pharmacy.

Good to know

Questions people ask.

Do I have to type in every yogurt?

Only the name: the guide fills in the shelf and the dates. It pays to start with what spoils fast (dairy, meat, greens, leftovers) and leave rice and pasta for later.

What if I ate something without the app?

Once a week the shop offers a night audit: walk the shelves and mark what's gone. A murky bottle also has «ate it anyway» right on it.

Are the dates in the guide reliable?

They are ordinary household advice, rounded to the careful side. The package always knows better, and any date can be changed.
